Pressed Prayer’s traditional letterpress printing

Centuries old craftsmanship gives each prayer card its distinctive depth and texture. This process is slow, intentional, and rooted in tradition.

Cotton Paper
Every card begins with one hundred percent cotton paper, chosen for its strength, softness, and natural ability to take a deep impression. The off-white colour feels timeless, and the weight feel sets the tone for the prayer it holds.

Hand-Mixed Ink
Ink is mixed by hand to achieve colours that feel rich yet restrained, allowing the artwork and prayers to stand with clarity and reverence.

Printing With Purpose
Each card is printed on a Heidelberg windmill press. These machines were built in the early twentieth century, but with attention and maintenance continue to produce beautiful impressions when worked by skilled hands. The pressure creates a deep tactile impression you can feel with your fingers, giving the design a physical presence that digital printing cannot match.

A Crafted Keepsake'
The result is a small devotional item that feels intentional, substantial, and made to last. Passed along to friends and family, each card is a piece of art that enhances the richness of prayer.
